Greetings fans of the rock music. We hope 2009 is finding you well, safe, happy, etc. Yes, no news from Pulaski HQ for a while…we’ve been on a bit of a break. Fear not, fear not…Pulaski is shaking off the rust soon and will be appearing at a rock-themed bar near you soon. Honest. We’ve been busy having kids, learning more advanced beer brewing techniques, taking care of bidness, learning foreign languages, and recovering from Olympic Fever, pretty much. On a related note- the passage of time, as it were- we just renewed the PulaskiBand.com domain…yippee, right? Well, we’ve had that for 10 YEARS…that means 2009 is Pulaski’s 10th year as a rock organization! We’ve outlasted some hedge funds, a few marriages (not ours!), the re-birth and demise of 80’s synth pop, and single digit unemployment figures. Go us! What does this mean to you, the casual Pulaski fan? Well, I’ll tell you, pal…it means we are committed to stick out the tough times, the ups and downs, the ins and outs, etc., with you. All we ask in return is the same…and free drinks. Ok, more soon!

Thanks for all that showed up to the Ottobar show to rock out with Liquor Bike, Landspeed and us. LB rocked as if they didn’t stop playing…it was great to see so many old friends. You old bastards need to come out more often! Anyhoo…we’re taking a bit of a break for now. We’re going to work on some new stuff soon and hope to be back playing in early ‘09. By then, ska should be back in and stretchy funk pants will be all the rage with bass players. Ah, memories.

In this time of stock market speculation and the fear mongering being perpetuated by the media at large to lull us into complacency so that the ol’ boys club of corporate criminals can buy us, and future generations, out for pennies on the dollar*, you need something you can count on! You need something that is real, tangible, even squeezable. This Friday @ the Ottobar, that very thing is being made available to you; a real, honest rock show!

Join us Friday as we warm up your sleeping ears and hearts to the sounds of a re-united (for one night only!) Liquor Bike. Landspeed! Record is also along for this outpouring of hope and tinnitus.

PLEASE NOTE:
There is an accompanying art show taking place upstairs from 6-9pm curated by LB’s David K. It will feature all sorts of memorabilia of the Baltimore rock/indie scene from the late 80’s thru the 90’s. It will be awesome…and, there are pics of Al when he was skinny- it’s true!

Friday, Sept. 26th - Ottobar - Liquor Bike 10 year Reunion Show!!!
We are not kidding…the Liquor Bike 10 year reunion show- w/ Landspeed
Record! This isn’t some school type reunion where folks awkwardly mingle and
comment on how fat each other has gotten and/or how much botox work they’ve
gotten done- no sir! It’s all of the above with skull crushing rock and lots
of drinking! We may pull out a Sick song or two if we can figure out the
complex chord structures and delicate harmony interplays. On the reals.

It is with much sadness that we report our cancellation of the Black Hole show. Roy just found out that he must attend a mandatory out-of-town work conference. All tickets for this show won’t be honored at our next performance: Friday, Sept. 25th @ Ottobar - opening up the Liquor Bike Reunion Show w/ Landspeed Record!!!

Join us and Test Pattern Radio at the Black Hole Rock Club in Dundalk! This is our first time playing there…the club looks pretty cool and has a bunch of levels and such. So, make sure you can sleep in Saturday and help us rock the ‘Dalk.

Our good friend (and lyrical contributor/political advisor), Nick Kujawa, though it would be a good idea to film us making our latest record, You’re Dead To Me, I Love You. 4 years, 30 hours of film, a record recorded twice, some extra hard drives, and some tears later, “The Love and Death of Pulaski” emerged in conjunction with the record. Now, through a special deal with AardVark Audio Visual, it has been posted to YouseTube.com and embed here for your viewing pleasure- in 8 bite-size bits.
