That’s right folks…right back into the fire for Pulaski! We’re stoked to be playing the debut show for The Golden Jubilee ( mySpace) - a group made up of some vets of the incestuous Baltimore scene: Snackie Hillman, Mark Berrong, and Joe Tropea to name a few. If you’re reading this and you played in a band in Baltimore (and who hasn’t?), you’ve played with one of those guys as some point whether you were aware of it or not…in the same band, no less. Rounding out this awesome night is the ever so precious and destined to leave our ranks Abby Mott and her handsome band. Do you really need a link to the Ottobar? Ok… Ottobar on the intertubes.
Gracenote has finally been updated to include our album’s details…so, if you’re in iTunes or any other digital player that accesses Gracenote for data (which ones don’t?), just hit “Get CD Track Names” or the equivalent. Oh the joys of modern technology.
We had a great time Saturday kicking our new baby into the world. It was so great to see so many loyal faces and even some new faces. A lot of folks have asked about getting a copy of the projected slideshow- we’re in the process of converting them all to YouTube- so, keep it tuned here for the links, etc…we’ll make iPod ready copies too. (Edit: ok…we added a bunch under Videos):
On the record tip- we’ll have the record out into retail soon @ Atomic Books in Hampden (+ their online store) and Sound Garden in Fells Point. We’re working on the complete digital purchase solution and will have that nailed down soon.
“You’re Dead To Me, I Love You (Atomic Twang) is the latest from Baltimore’s own Pulaski, a wry and self-effacing quintet of local vets. Dead To Me was a long time in the making, the band’s third since their formation in 1999. Full of syrupy bass lines and indie rock chops not done this refreshingly since 1997, the harmonies are wholesome, the drums are clanging, and the songs are plain good.”Why Are You Doing This To Me?” has a climbing riff that is flavored with piquant lyrics. An overall pogo-rocker causes a double-take next to a poppier, drum-pad flecked “Don’t Fade On Me”. Download this one and hear for yourself. Dual guitars on “You Can Never Win” are like Weezer with brass knuckles and a grudge, and twangy string bends and slides on “Sushi Waitress” spin Wilco on their collective heads with pure fun and a reckless disregard for taking one’s self seriously.”

Because we’re friends and you’ve been there for us these many years, check out (and/or download) one of the tracks from the upcoming cd right here: Black Hand Of God - it’s a delightful romp through religion, hallucinations, guitar solos, angels, and platypae.
More news and a full site soon…in the mean time, check out our filthy MySpace.com page for pics, bio, etc….
